Ringable — Privacy Policy

Ringable is a simple availability app: you toggle whether you're free to talk, and friends you've mutually connected with can see that status.

What we collect

• A display name you choose (it doesn't have to be your real name).
• Your availability status (available/busy) and when you last changed it.
• An anonymous account identifier, created automatically on your device. We collect no email, phone number, password, contacts, or location.
• Friend connections you make by exchanging IDs, including the invite code you used when you signed up.
• A notification device token, only if you turn on notifications. It lets Apple deliver a ping when someone sends you a friend request or accepts yours, and nothing else. Declining notifications changes nothing about how the app works.

How it's used

Solely to show your availability to friends you've accepted. There are no ads, no analytics profiles, no selling of data, and no tracking across apps or websites.

Who can see your status

Only friends whose requests you accept. You can hide your availability from any individual friend, remove friends, or decline requests. These controls are enforced by server-side security rules, not just the app's interface.

Storage

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and protected by security rules. See Firebase's privacy documentation.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, status, friend connections, requests, and notification device token. Signing out also removes the device token.

Children

Ringable is not directed at children under 13.
